1. AFTER FX
After Effects.
This refers to the process of adding motion graphics and visual effects in post-production editing. The opportunities are endless. Make a dragon appear in your film, or transform your actors into Jedi with light sabers.
2. ASSETS
The term “assets” is used to describe different elements of a video. Visual assets, music, audio, subtitles, and so on… you get the point.
3. ALT TEXT
Many marketers and webmasters are unaware of this. Alt text is a description of an image that is included in the HTML code of a website. This is especially crucial for visually handicapped online users. This text helps screen reading software in informing the user about the contents of the site.
4. B-ROLL
Any supplemental videos that act as “fillers” to the primary shots are classified as B-roll clips. Stock footage, video shots taken from a different viewpoint, or totally different scene. You decide!
5. BREATHING
This method is well-known in Quentin Tarantino’s films. When there is a pause in the narrative or in portions of the film (or video! ), it is called breathing. This is a terrific method to emphasize key areas of the video while also signaling to the viewer that the speed is changing.
6. CUT
You can’t just say it; you have to scream it. When shooting, a cut signals to end a scene. A cut is the transition from one scene or shot to another in post-production. There are various different types of cut.
7. CAPTIONS
Required for foreign language translations, for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and to emphasize certain messages in your film. There are several reasons for captions, and they should not be disregarded!
8. DEPTH OF FIELD
Used to separate the foreground from the background, usually by blurring one or the other. The depth of field may be altered by adjusting the aperture of the camera lens.
9. DOUBLE EXPOSURE
When two photos or videos are layered on top of one another.
10. EDIT
You may have 15 edits of a video. An edit refers to a specific version of the video. You’ll never get it totally right in the first edit, but it’s a good idea to keep it for reference in future edits.
11. EDITOR

12. FRAME RATE
The number of frames per second is referred as FPS. In most cinemas, a traditional film has a frame rate of 24 frames per second (fps). This may be customized to make a silky smooth cinematic masterpiece or slowed down to create a stop-motion effect.
13. GRADE
The quality of color that we can perceive in real life is not often captured in raw video from filming. As a result, when a video is graded, the lighting, color, and brightness balances are adjusted to bring the film to life. To guarantee that the spectator sees a smooth video, it is especially critical to execute throughout indoor and outdoor transitions – where the light changes dramatically.
14. MOTION CONTROL
A robotic arm is used to support a specialized camera setup. The motional control camera setup enables smooth and accurate camera movements instead of unsteady motions from handheld cameras (imagine recording in a car or moving object).
15. MOVING IMAGE
It does exactly what it states. Refers to any moving image type of media: Action filming, 2D and 3D animation, virtual reality experiences.
16. MOTION GRAPHICS
This term refers to any computer-generated graphics on a screen. Text, special effects, or animations.
17. PRE PRODUCTION
There’s a lot of planning and preparation that has to happen before your video production can start rolling.
18. POST PRODUCTION
Editors, animators, and other moving image professionals will edit and create your video. This comes after all of the preparation and filming has been completed.
19. RENDER
This video production phrase refers to the exporting of a motion graphics project (e.g., a graphic). For huge projects, the rendering process might take hours!
20. ROI
ROI stands for Return on Investment. The notorious words that make us all happy!
The ROI is a measure of how successful a project was. To get your net return, deduct the starting cost of the investment from the final earnings. Divide the net return by the initial investment cost and multiply by 100.
21. SFX
Sound effects.
Sound effects may significantly improve the quality of a piece of content. There are hundreds of methods to include sound effects into your moving image project, whether it’s adding a popping sound to highlight a certain movement or tire screeches to make the animated vehicle appear more realistic.
